What we collect

When you fill out our quote form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, town, and the details you give us about your home and the service you want.

If you become a customer, we also keep a record of the address we clean, the dates we’ve cleaned it, and what you were charged.

Our website uses standard server logs, which record IP addresses and pages visited, as any website does.

Why we collect it

To quote your job, arrange a time, do the work, and bill you. That’s all.

How we handle payment

We don’t take card details ourselves and we don’t store them. Payments go through Stripe, which handles card information directly under its own privacy policy and security standards. We see that a payment was made, not your card number.

Who we share it with

Nobody. We don’t sell, rent, or trade your information, and we don’t share it for advertising.

We use a small number of services to run the business — our website host, our email provider, and Stripe for payments. Each of these handles data on our behalf under its own terms. We don’t give your information to anyone else.

How long we keep it

Quote requests that don’t become bookings: about a year, then deleted.

Customer records: as long as you’re a customer, plus seven years afterward for tax and accounting purposes.

Your choices

Ask us to see what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and we will. Email info@bostonshinecleaners.com.

If you’d rather we didn’t keep your details after a job, say so and we’ll remove them once the tax retention period allows.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies necessary for it to function, and nothing else. We don’t run advertising trackers or third-party analytics that follow you around the web.

Changes

If this policy changes we’ll update the date at the top. Anything significant, we’ll tell customers directly.
